HEBER CITY, Utah – November and December are the months the historic Heber Creeper train transforms into the North Pole Express as it immerses riders in a Christmas fantasy.
KSL TV’s adventure specialists Trace Worthington and Sean Smith got on board Monday morning to find out what the the North Pole Express has to offer this season.
The crew is decked out in holiday attire as the train heads to the North Pole, where passengers will find Santa Claus when they arrive. It’s been a tradition for almost 15 years.
The 850-foot-long North Pole Express features 10 cars and will carry 500 people on each trip. Each of the train’s cars are from the 1920s and ’30s.
Rides on the North Pole Express begin Nov. 20 and run through Dec. 22.
